Chief Procurement Officer Announces OCP's Participation in Small Business Procurement Conference

(Washington, DC) Herbert R. Tillery, Deputy Mayor for Operations and Interim Chief Procurement Officer, announced today that the Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) will participate in the ProBiz 2006 Small Business Procurement Opportunity Conference.

ProBiz 2006 is scheduled from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the New Washington Convention Center at 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, DC. OCP contracting officers will host an exhibit booth featuring business opportunities, business requirements, and buying trends for over 60 agencies in the DC Government. The online auction of surplus DC Government property will be demonstrated for visitors to the OCP exhibit booth. Small businesses seeking furnishings and equipment may benefit from participating in the online auction.

OCP will also provide information in panel presentations at the conference on how businesses can prepare for doing business with the DC Government, the DC Supply Schedule, and roads and highways construction programs.
